Reports

Keep up on the specific flies, set-ups, and techniques we're using on the water......

Bighorn River (7/4) - Flows were at 9500 cfs when we visited on the fourth and since have been bumped up to 10,000 cfs, but don't let this stop you from hitting the river. Crowds are non-existent and the fish are hungry. Look for fish on the edge of seams, deep banks, and grassy drop-offs. Black Caddis start hitting the water around 5:00 PM so bring your dry-fly game with you.

Flies: Red, Orange, and Pink Worms (10-16), Sow Bugs (14-16), Zonker Minnows (6-10), Black Caddis Patterns (12-16), Black and Purple Ants (12-14).

Stillwater River: (4/29) - With last week's rain/snow the flows have been a little unsteady making for unpredictable fishing. Caddis and March Browns are out and sometimes in large numbers, but the trout are not getting on them until the late afternoon. Focus on nymphs and streamers unless you see fish feeding on the surface.

Flies: Copper John (12-16), Hare's Ear (14-16), Prince Nymph (14-16), Pat's Rubber Legs (10-14), Zebra Midge (16-18); Sculpzilla (Black, Olive) , Flashback Wooly Bugger (Black); Tan X Caddis (14), Purple Haze (14), Tan Elk Hair Caddis (14), Parachute Adams (14).
